ahahah this was so much fun
y'all...i love fluff so much
and random fact, this is the first hetero couple i've ever drawn
(mostly because i don't draw couples very much...and most of my friends have gay OCs)

my entry for =strxbe's contest

i chose the song "Always" by Erasure

because jara is supposed to be secretly really romantic cuz he loves his girlfriend so much
which is just you know, adorable

the song makes me think of couples cuddling when it's cold (probably because it says cold so many times)
and then what's more romantic than new year's eve
so here's some bbies enjoying the holiday privately

and jara is just more interested in her shining face than the sparkler

I actually really love how you created this. I love that you captured a romance and perhaps even a bonfire night scene. I really love the way you did the moon and background along with how you created the sparkler that's really quite creative. In general I love love love your style and really love how you've created this. I really like the faces too and your contrasts in colour, brightness and darkness, you've done well.

If I had to pick one thing to "improve" I'd perhaps say the guys arm wrapped around her lower body looks a little strange and his nose is very distracting and is almost like the main feature. But that's just being picky because really it's a good illustration and a wonderful piece of work.

ahah yeah, i totally see what you mean with the art looking weird...it's kind of just coming from nowhere haha
and i think i kind of messed up with the lighting on his nose, which is probably why it stands out so much

ahhah yeah definitely :]

i've been paying more attention to how arms move
and how different lighting hits faces

so yeah, pointing those things out gave me something to pay attention to
